Zimmer continues to lead the field in bone-preserving arthroplasty shoulder solutions with the Zimmer® Sidus™ Stem-Free shoulder arthroplasty system.

The Sidus system is different than other shoulder replacement devices. It offers anatomical shoulder joint reconstruction without procedural complexity. Key features:

The Sidus system is designed to benefit shoulder surgery patients - and orthopaedic surgeons - in numerous ways. A range of anatomically-matched options enable accurate restoration of each patient's unique anatomy without the constraints of fixed inclinations, medial offset or posterior offset. The innovative, bone-conserving design preserves bone stock for future interventions while avoiding some of the clinical issues associated with traditional stemmed shoulder replacements. An open design protects anchoring and improves rotational stability while allowing bone through-growth.

The Sidus system bridges the gap between traditional stemmed and resurfacing shoulder implants. Patients will benefit from a less invasive surgery, bone preservation and more personalized fit.

The Sidus system is ideal for patients with osteoarthritis and posttraumatic arthrosis who are candidates for hemi-arthroplasty or total shoulder replacement. The system offers a less invasive procedure which requires minimal bone resection, potentially simplifying future revision procedures. It also features a streamlined surgical technique and lean instrumentation, potentially reducing costs associated with sterilization and OR operations.
